Scotland team v Austria revealed as Hearts 'keeper stars with Hibs duo on the bench

Three changes in total have been made by Scotland for tonight's crucial World Cup qualifier in Austria.

Hearts goalkeeper keeps his place between the sticks, but Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet drops to the bench after starting Saturday night's victory over Moldova.

He's joined by Easter Road teammate Paul McGinn, who was called up at late notice by Steve Clarke on Monday.

Callum McGregor replaces former Celtic teammate Ryan Christie in midfield and drops deeper to play alongside Billy Gilmour and John McGinn.

Rangers youngster Nathan Patterson pulled out with an injury following the victory over Moldova at Hampden on Saturday.

Stephen O’Donnell is his replacement, slotting in at right wing back.

The three central defenders remain the same.

The hosts are smarting after a shock 5-2 defeat to Israel at the weekend and will be looking to bounce back.

A win would give Scotland a four-point cushion over their opponents and could move them into second position should Denmark take care of Israel.

Scotland: Gordon, Hendry, Hanley, Tierney, O’Donnell, Gilmour, McGregor, McGinn, Robertson, Adams, Dykes.

Subs: Kelly, Clark, Christie, McKenna, Gallagher, Cooper, Ferguson, Turnbull, Nisbet, P. McGinn.
