Stephen O'Donnell reckons Scotland should have beaten England as he spoke of the "hell of a lot of criticism" the national side came in for after Monday's defeat to Czech Republic.
The Motherwell defender was a standout amongst a team of heroes at a wet Wembley, as Steve Clarke's men earned a vital draw to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stages at Euro 2020 alive - although they feel they could well have taken all three points.
O'Donnell caught a first half volley flush to force Jordan Pickford into a great save in the first half, while Che Adams and Lyndon Dykes both came close for the visitors.
A John Stones header hit the post for England in the first half and Scotland survived a stoppage time scramble in the box to head up the road to their training camp in Middlesbrough with something to show for their efforts.
It came after a 2-0 defeat to Czech Republic in their Group D opener at Hampden, in which O'Donnell was heavily criticised by some sections of the support.
But he produced the perfect riposte with his display at Wembley.
And post-match he told Talksport: "We played a good Czech side and came in for hell of a lot of criticism.
"We knew the tournament was at stake and we had to get something.

“We would have loved three points but a very good England side made it difficult.
"I don’t think many will argue a draw wasn’t a fair result and now hopefully we can get the rub of green against Croatia and get a goal.”
On his attempt on goal that almost brought a winner, the Wishaw man added: “When you play the back five it’s time to pick and choose when to get to the back post.
"With the quality we have on the left – with Kieran Tierney and Andy Robertson there - you think you should be there all the time.
“I thought I caught it clean enough but at this level the keepers are very good.
"The result justifies a lot of money the fans spent to come down.
“I know how much it cost my family and friends.
"I hope they enjoy the night and go again on Tuesday.”
