Scotland star Lyndon Dykes shows off new neck tattoo as squad preps for Moldova clash

Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes showed off an impressive neck tattoo as he covers his body in inks.

The football star headed to a tattoo studio in Glasgow on Thursday to get his latest addition as the rest of the squad preps in Moldova.

Scotland's national football team take on Moldova on Friday evening in a bid to secure World Cup Qualification, but striker Lyndon has not made the trip.

The Queen's Park Rangers man has netted four goals during Scotland's World Cup qualifying campaign that is one win away from a play off place.

However, Steve Clarke's men must face their penultimate fixture in Chisinau without Dykes this Friday as the star is suspended.

Lyndon opted to spend his time getting his new tattoo at Rock n Roll tattoo studio in Glasgow while his teammates prep for tonight's match.

The impressive ink is of a detailed rose and candle on his throat reaching to his chin, with a detailed dove captured flying on the side of his neck.

The tattoos are shaded, matching the many incredible art pieces penned on the striker's chest and arms.

Lyndon shared a video of the new ink on his Instagram story and tagged the tattoo artist as he wrote: "Always sorting me out with the best."

Tonight's match falls exactly one year since the thrilling penalty shoot-out success against Serbia that sent Scotland to Euro 2020, played this summer due to Covid related delays last year.

Dykes was named man of the match for his gruelling shift that night.

The striker scored during the national team's last meeting with Moldova at Hampden in September.

His 14th minute goal secured the1 1-0 victory for the Scots.

Amid the new tattoos and suspensions, Dykes is likely to be a big miss for Steve Clarke this evening.
