Scotland squad revealed as Shelley Kerr names players for Women's World Cup

Shelley Kerr has named her Scotland squad to compete at this summer's Women's World Cup in France.

The Scotland boss has named seven players currently playing their football in the SWPL with five of those at Glasgow City and two at Hibs.

Goalkeeper Lee Alexander, defenders Nicola Docherty and Hayley Lauder and midfielders Leanne Crichton and Jo Love all play for Scott Booth's side while Hibs duo Jenna Fife and Joelle Murray.

Arsenal defender Emma Mitchell misses out after struggling with injury in the latter half of the season but there is a place for Fiorentina striker Lana Clelland.

Chelsea star Erin Cuthbert scored Scotland's first goal at a major tournament during the European Championships two years ago and is included as the youngest player at the age of 20.

Kim Little missed the Euros in 2017 through injury but is included for her first major tournament.

Captain Rachel Corsie is the only American based player in the squad, with the majority coming from the English leagues.

Scotland will play England, Argentina and Japan in the tournament, which starts in June.
