Ryan Porteous has been called up to the Scotland squad for games against Israel, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The Hibs centre back has been promoted from the Under 21 squad by Steve Clarke after an impressive start to the season at Easter Road.
The 21-year-old has been a key part of Jack Ross’ defence that until recently had only conceded twice from open play.
This isn't the first time Porteous has been included in the senior ranks.
He was called up to the squad to face Kazakhstan last year but didn’t get on the pitch, and will be hoping he makes his senior bow this time around.
The Scots take on Israel at Hampden in their key Euro 2020 play-off semi-final on Thursday 8 October before hosting Slovakia the following Sunday.
The Czechs then visit on Wednesday 14 to round off an international triple header at Hampden.
The call-up means Hibs will be without Porteous for their opening Betfred Cup group matches at home to Brora Rangers and away to Cove Rangers respectively.
