Scotland set for summer scorcher up to 26C as Euro heatwave sweeps in

It’s taken it’s time but summer in Scotland could finally be around the corner, with a European heatwave set to sweep in later this week.

Temperatures will soar on Thursday and Friday, with the likes of Glasgow , Paisley and the west coast enjoying up to 26C heat - so you might not need to dig out the passport just yet.

The warm summer weather will spread to Fort William , even going as far up as Ullapool.

While we won’t reach quite the same highs as our European neighbours in Spain, France and Italy who are looking at up to 40C in some places, it’s still a win.

But until then, we do have to put up with yet more miserable weather - overcast with regular showers - at the start of the week, before it starts to warm up from Wednesday evening onwards.

And what’s even more exciting is the summer sizzle is set to carry on through the weekend until things return to normal on Sunday - so let’s enjoy it while we can.
