Scotland's third oldest man who became social media sensation during lockdowns dies aged 104

Scotland's third oldest man, who became a social media sensation during the covid lockdowns, has sadly passed away at the age of 104.

Retired police officer Percy Mann joined the City of Glasgow Police in 1946 and retired from the force in 1976 as a Sergeant.

He shot to fame in 2020 when footage of him dancing with his zimmer frame took social media by storm, helping to warm hearts during the initial lockdowns.

Police Scotland paid tribute to Percy, who is survived by 11 children, 20 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

A statement from the force reads: "Today Police Inspector Grant attended the funeral of Percy Mann who was Scotland’s third oldest man (aged 104) and a retired police officer.
