Major plans have been lodged to base Scotland's second Ferrari dealership in Renfrewshire.
The luxury sports car maker has drawn up proposals to develop a garage at Braehead in place of the former Infiniti showroom in Braille Crescent - which shut a few months ago - near to Denny's and Costa Coffee.
Ferrari's only current site in Scotland is at Fort Kinnaird retail park in Edinburgh, with the planned site set to become the Italian brand's first base in the west of the country - called 'Ferrari Glasgow' - if planning bosses give it the green light.
The plans by Sytner Group Limited include the development of valet/workshop buildings for service and MOT of vehicles, external alterations and reconfiguration of the car park. There are also proposals outlined for a new jet wash building.
It is expected a decision will be made on whether to approve the groundbreaking plans before the end of the year.
Councillor John Shaw, who represents the area, said the plans were already attracting plenty of attention.
He said: "The planning application has certainly generated a lot of interest as it's just a wee bit out of the ordinary.
"I welcome the jobs and opportunities the new facilities will bring to the area if approved, but sadly I'm not sure my used Ford is going to stack up as a trade-in."
Over the years Ferrari's cars have become well-known for speed, luxury and wealth, with most new models costing well over £200,000.
Their motors have graced our silver screens on many occasions down the years - with specific models being made famous by Miami Vice and James Bond - and their name is synonymous with Formula 1, having produced the oldest and most successful racing team.
