When city life feels a bit too much, many will often dream of escaping to a remote island.
But for one lucky individual this could very much be a reality as a tiny Scottish island is looking to hire someone for a unique job.
With just a population of 163 people, the Isle of Gigha sits just off the west coast near Kintyre and is the most southern of the Hebridean islands.
The Daily Record r eports that the island's Heritage Trust is looking for a special person to help managing a campsite on the island that is due to open in Spring 2022.
The Isle of Gigha (pronounced Gee-Uh) has been community-owned since 20012. It was put on the market but residents bought it and the economy has grown strength to strength as has their population.
Gigha was handed over to the Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust on March 15 2002, a day that is marked on the island every year as “Gigha Day”.
A post on the Trust's official Facebook page wrote: "The Trust is keen to find a manager that can work with existing tourism businesses and the Trust on this exciting opportunity to establish the camp and motorhome site as one of the many tourism assets that Gigha has to offer."
They added that the post will be salaried and comes with a commissioned share.
Anyone looking to take on the role of manager at the new camp site should email shona@gigha.org.uk or phone 01583 505390 .
The island was thrown into the spotlight earlier this week on Channel 4's new show Murder Island.
The show emphasis the close-knit community that has grown on the island and while under the name 'Hirsa' for the programme, the dramatic beauty of Gigha makes a stunning backdrop for Ian Rankin's murder mystery.
