Scotland's Omicron top 10 hotspots by neighbourhood as cases top one million

The Omicron variant accounts for over 90 per cent of cases with over one million Covid cases in Scotland.

Latest figures report a total of 1,074,591 Covid cases in the country as testing reveals 91.1 per cent of cases are Omicron.

However, the latest data from Public Health Scotland shows that the Omicron surge could have peaked.

The Scottish Government began easing the Covid restrictions enacted after Boxing Day.

Scots can now attend large outdoor events with no limits on capacity from Monday, January 17.

Nicola Sturgeon announced that the Covid passport now requires a booster to be considered fully vaccinated.

As Scotland emerges from the post-Christmas restrictions, here is where the current cases stand.
