Scotland's most expensive timeshare home that costs almost £14k for one week of the year

One Scottish timeshare on the booming property market will cost you nearly £14,000 for a single week a year.

With the pandemic and ever-changing travel restrictions, domestic holidays have grown increasingly popular.

Prices have risen to meet demand, but this listing could be one of Scotland's most expensive timeshares.

The three bedroom lodge is located at the luxurious Gleneagles Country Club wherein a mid-November week is on the market for £13,995, and unfortunately, no pets are allowed.

In comparison, that amounts to almost 40 percent of the average £35,745 deposit for a first-time buyer in Scotland in 2020, according to Bank of Scotland figures.

So what do you get out of joining Glenmor, the timeshare and holiday village of Gleneagles?

The Kinlochrule is a lodge available from Saturday to Saturday in week 46 of the year which usually falls halfway through November.

Potential buyers have been warned about annual management fees costing £1,570 a year.

"A Glenmor Luxury holiday lodge is more than just a holiday home," says the property listing.

"Kinlochrule, 645 Glenmor, is a three-bedroom lodge ideal for spa breaks or golfing retreats or simply enjoying the finer aspects in a relaxed, comfortable manner."

As for perks, the timeshare comes with complimentary golf for one person and free use of the leisure facilities which the brochure notes is 'limited to two people per bedroom'.

You'll be able to use the club's concierge who can provide advice about the estate and bring food deliveries to your doorstep.

Modern amenities include a fully-connected entertainment system, satellite television, complimentary wifi internet, fitted kitchen and a laundry area.

The lodge was upgraded in 2019 with a kitchen renovation featuring new appliances, plus new bedroom furniture, carpets, sofas, blinds and fresh paint.

Upgrades to the upper levels are planned with a downstairs renovation set for 2023.
