Scotland’s first pizza vending machine launched in Glasgow

An innovative new vending machine, the first of its type in Scotland, is now serving freshly cooked pizzas in Glasgow.

The Pizza Machine can be found at the junction of Blackfriars Street and High Street in the Merchant City area in the city.

The brainchild of Kristofer Maguire, the team behind the vending machine firm, which includes brother Raymond and dad Kevin, also own the Metropolitan Bar in the Merchant City.

The machine can hold 96 fresh pizzas that are stored in a chiller - when a customer selects the pizza of their choice, the machine cooks it within three minutes.

It's then 'delivered' ready to eat through one of the slots at the front of the machine.

The pizzas will be supplied from Inn on the Green, a new restaurant on Milton of Campsie's Crow Road, run by Kieran Pole and Paul Donnachie.

The Pizza Machine has two ovens and can cook simultaneously and is contactless to ensure no money is stored inside.
