Scotland's first pakora drive-thru has opened near Glasgow

This will come as music to the ears Indian food fans in Glasgow...

Scotland's first drive-thru pakora place has opened for business in Old Kilpatrick.

The Pakora Explorer is serving up a range of pakora dishes to drive away with from a custom-built converted horse box on the site of the old bus depot off Dumbarton Road.

As the first resident of a new Depot Drive Thru taking over the site, the pakora drive thru will be operating on Friday and Saturdays as of this afternoon.

And hungry punters can get their hands on veg pakora, chicken pakora or mixed pakora and pakora rolls - using Morton's soft rolls (!) - as well as masala fries and samosas.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, Sheetal Revis aka 'the Pakora Explorer' said: "I started up doing street food last year and when this came about it was the perfect chance for me to keep the business going and do what I love - which is just to make some great food.

"Glasgow loves pakora and I think it's only second to chips so when you put the two together you are dancing."

The 'drive thru pakora experience' will be operating on a pre-order and drive-to-collect system only for the time being, with bikes also allowed and encouraged.

With a traffic management system in place to support the operation.
