Scotland fans can enjoy sunshine and blue skies today as hundreds are expected to flock to beer gardens and fan zones to watch the Euro 2020 game.

Temperatures will soar to 20C in some parts of the country today, while conditions to remain 'bright with plenty of sunshine' for most of the day.

It's good news fans for fans watching the Scotland vs Croatia Euro 2020 clash outside this evening, with sunny intervals forecast for when the whistle blows at 8pm.

However, hay fever sufferers should be warned as the Met Office predicts 'medium' risk of pollen as it reaches its peak in the season.

The Met Office said Scotland got off to a sunnier start an will continue to be warm in the sunshine until later on this evening, with temperatures peaking at 20C.

Meanwhile, most of the country will steer clear of the rain, with downpours mainly focused in the north-west which will across the west overnight.

Glasgow will see peak temperatures of 18C, Edinburgh 20C, Aberdeen 20C, Dundee 20C, Inverness 18C, Stirling 20C and Perth 20C.

Weather in the southside of Glasgow, where Hampden Park is located, will have 'sunny intervals with a gentle breeze', according to the Met Office.

A Met Office forecast reads: "Mainly dry and sunny. Bright for much of the day with plenty of sunshine.

"However, cloud and patchy rain reaching the Argyll Isles in the afternoon edging slowly inland by early evening.

"Tonight cloudy with rain spreading from the west. Cloud and rain staying for the night but patchy in the east."
