And European football's governing body have now confirmed they will make a final decision on one of four scenarios for fans at the Finals as early as the start of March.
Each venue will discuss with UEFA whether they are able to hold matches at full capacity; between 100 per cent and 50 per cent of capacity; 33 per cent of capacity; or behind closed doors.
Hampden representatives will have over three months to try and build the case for the old stadium being full for the four games they will host, including a Round of 16 match.
UEFA stated: "Each host city will discuss the scenarios jointly with UEFA, develop their plans accordingly in the coming weeks and a decision on which scenario will be applied individually in each city during the tournament will be taken on March 5, 2021."
