Is there anything better than strolling through a German Christmas market during Winter to get you into the festive spirit?
Of course not - which is why this weekend is about to get busy for Scots, as quite a few Christmas markets across the country are officially back for visitors to begin their Christmas countdown properly.
Christmas Market events in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow are all set to kick of this weekend, bringing a whole host of attractions, rides and market stalls for visitors to enjoy this year.
Following the cancellation of multiple festive markets last year, most of them will be looking to return with a bang this year to give families the ultimate day out.
If you've not started planning your Christmas day out yet, then here is all the information you need to know about the upcoming Christmas markets this weekend.
Christmas Markets 2021
Edinburgh
Edinburgh's Christmas Market is arguably the biggest in Scotland and this year it will transform into a seasonal Winter Wonderland for families to enjoy, with plenty of things for adults and kids to do.
The capital cities iconic Christmas Market officially makes its grand return for six weeks of festivities that will run from Saturday 20 November 2021 to Saturday 4 January 2022.
This years event will be located in the East Princes Street Gardens and visitors can enjoy a whole variety of stalls, as well as enjoying the return of the big wheel and the ice rink.
This time round it will be open from 10am to 10pm with some revised times:
November 20: Early Afternoon - 10pm
December 24: 10am - 8pm
December 25: Closed.
December 26: 12pm - 8pm
January 1: 12pm - 8pm
Glasgow
Following the cancellation of George Square's event, Glasgow will still be returning with the St Enoch's event this year for locals and tourists to enjoy.
One of them will be the much-loved St Enoch's Centre market which returns from Sunday (November 21) until December 23.
This year's event will include the popular ranch bar that was due to make it's appearance at the George Square event, as well as bringing back the delicious Greek gyros and candied nuts & Belgian treats.
A whole variety of returning festive stalls are back for you to browse around, as well as a few new stalls that were due to make their appearance at the cancelled George Square market.
The opening times will be:
10am until 7pm from Monday to Wednesday and 10am until 8pm from Thursday until Sunday.
Aberdeen
Aberdeen's Christmas Village has also made it's return for this years festivities, after being organised by Aberdeen City Council and Codona's, with help from from Aberdeen Inspired.
The event, which is located at Broadstreet and the Upperkirkgate area, officially kicked off yesterday Thursday November 18 and will run until Friday December 31.
Aberdeen's 2021 Christmas village will bring a whole host of attractions for the whole family to enjoy, including the open air ice rink, local Christmas Market, food & drinks and a wonderful festive fairground with both new and returning attractions.
The opening times are;
Monday - Thursday, 12pm - 11pm (School Holidays, open from 11am Monday - Friday)
Saturday & Sunday, 10am - 10pm.
