Scotland's chief medical officer received his coronavirus vaccine in Lanarkshire today.
Dr Gregor Smith, who hails from Larkhall, was snapped at the Covid-19 vaccination clinic at Ravenscraig.
He said: ""To see everybody here getting their vaccines, was just absolutely wonderful. It was great to see all the hard work coming to fruition."
Dr Smith's appointment came as the health board moved ahead with vaccinating the under 40s in the region.
They aim to have reached all over 18s by the end of July, depending on supplies.
People aged 40-49 will be invited first to appointment at the Ravenscraig and East Kilbride supercentres, followed by those aged 30-39 and then 18-29 – with the latter group receiving either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine following expert guidance.
