Scotland's burger takeaway of the year to open mouth-watering new Edinburgh venue

An Edinburgh eatery recently crowned 'Scotlands burger takeaway of the year' is opening a new restaurant in the capital.

Last month, The Ranch celebrated their national success at the 2022 Scottish Takeaway Awards, while they previously took the top prize back in 2019.

They've built up a loyal customer base and somewhat of a cult following on account of their American-style BBQ food and burgers, which have been served out of separate locations, in the town on Barclay Place, and from the first venue at St John's Road, next to sister restaurant, Torfin, in the capital's Corstorphine neighbourhood.

However the team has recently updated fans to let them know they've called time on the Corstorphine branch to open up an exciting new restaurant opening at Bankhead in Sighthill.

Sharing the update on their Instagram account, they said: "That’s a wrap at Corstorphine… we are busy getting our brand new shiny Ranch ready to welcome you all so we’ll be closed for a few days.

"Stay tuned for updates on the awesome new Ranch opening at Bankhead, Sighthill…. VERY SOON!"

In May, we reported on the potential for a new Ranch branch coming to Bankhead industrial estate after plans were submitted to transform an abandoned bank into a hot food and drink diner serving takeaway food, on Bankhead Avenue.

The BBQ and burger joint will open for delivery, takeaway and sit-in dining.

As well as offering burgers, BBQ scran, beer, cocktails and milkshakes, The Ranch is also popular with vegans, with a full vegan BBQ menu available.
