Health bosses have conceded there will be no action on a new medical centre until after the election.
It’s another bitter pill for the community of Bishopton, claims Tory candidate Julie Pirone.
She spoke of being astounded at the perpetual stalling in giving the village a fit-for-purpose health centre.
Jane Grant, the chief executive of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, confirmed it will be June before any light is shone on the issue.
That reaction has been labelled “beyond a joke” by Mrs Pirone, Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate for Renfrewshire North and West at May’s Scottish Parliament election.
She said: “The health board is continuing to kick plans for a new Bishopton Health Centre into the long grass.
“Now voters won’t even get a chance to look at any plans ahead of the election. The residents of Bishopton who have demanded a new health centre for years are being treated appallingly by the board who are ducking and diving instead of being straight with them.
“The options for a Bishopton Health Centre should be published without any further delay. What on earth can the health board be waiting on?”

Bishopton relies on a 43-year-old flat-roofed building for its six-strong GP practice off Greenock Road.
The issue of a new build was raised seven years ago and since then the village population has soared from below 5,000 to almost 12,000.
BAE Systems is developing 4,000 homes on the 2,350 acre former British Ordnance explosives factory and put up a new site and £1m cash for the health centre as part of the agreement.
In response to a letter from Julie Pirone, health board chief Jane Grant said: “At present, subject to agreement it is anticipated that a report will be submitted to the Integration Joint Board in June for noting.
“The report will outline the work undertaken to date on the pilot property review in Renfrewshire.”
