Scotland record massive win as Lee Alexander keeps clean sheet

Lee Alexander recorded a clean sheet as Scotland claimed a massive 10-0 win over Cyprus in the Euro 2022 qualifying match.

Alexander, who comes from East Kilbride, had one of her quieter matches in goals for Scotland.

Scotland scored five goals in each half to secure a sensational win in Larnaca as they finished with a remarkable 19 shots on target.

Erin Cuthbert, Martha Thomas and Jane Ross all scored doubles while Caroline Weir, Kirsty Hanson, Lizzie Arnot and Claire Emslie all got on the scoresheet.

It was Stuart McLaren's first game in charge as interim boss after Shelley Kerr left her role as as manger on December 24th.

Alexander is set for a more difficult afternoon when Scotland face Portugal on Tuesday. The Portuguese were victorious in the reverse fixture in November winning 1-0.
