'Scotland or Rome?' Fans descend on Queen's Park in Glasgow to celebrate Italy's Euro 2020 win

This was the incredible scene at a park in Glasgow after Scots came out in force to celebrate Italy's triumph at Euro 2020.

The Italian team edged Gareth Southgate's side in a brutal penalty shootout on Sunday night in a nail-biting Wembley final.

England fans were left gutted by the result but celebrations erupted in parts of Scotland, where some fans were cheering on Italy against their old rivals.

Crowds flocked to Queen's Park in Glasgow following the win, with supporters waving Italian flags as cars beeped their horns on Victoria Road.

Sharing the clip, Toni Giugliano wrote on Twitter: " Cars are tooting furiously - is this Scotland or Rome?!!"

The video racked up over a thousand likes in a matter of hours as other Scots posted reports of wild celebrations in their own areas.

One Dumbarton local claimed fireworks were even going off near them.

And in Glasgow's George Square, there were even bigger crowds of Italian fans and Scots gathering to celebrate after the final whistle last night.

One clip, captioned "Glasgow right now", showed the city centre square full of revellers late into the evening after Italy's keeper managed to win it for his side.

There were similar scenes elsewhere in the country as Edinburgh football fans took to the streets after the game.

One local shared a clip of the sound of horns coming from across the city in the wake of Italy's triumph.

Meanwhile, down south there had been ugly scenes at the Euro 2020 final after scores of ticketless fans stormed their way into Wembley.

Footage earlier on Sunday showed a number of people attempting to force their way into the stadium for England's showdown with Italy in London.

Having taken an early lead thanks to Luke Shaw's early opener, Italy drew level with England before the game went to overtime.

It was a familiar tale for England fans as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Sako all missed their spot kicks to ensure Roberto Mancini's team took the glory.
