Scott McTominay has been nominated for the Ballon d'Or.
The Napoli midfielder, 28, is the first Scottish footballer in 38 years to be listed amongst the nominees for the prestigious individual award. Ally McCoist was the last Scot nominated in 1987.
McTominay enjoyed a stunning season for Napoli after leaving Manchester United.
In his debut season in Italy, McTominay scored 13 goals and provided six assists as Napoli won the Serie A title.
The Scotland internationalist scored a bicycle kick on the final day of the season as Napoli won 2-0 against Cagliari to seal the league crown.

McTominay also continued his impressive form for Scotland, playing nine times for the national team in the 2024/25 season.
He scored three times for Scotland in that time to take his goal tally to 12 in his 61 outings.
To date, only one Scot has ever won the Ballon d'Or, when Denis Law lifted the trophy as the world's best footballer in 1964 after a 46-goal season for Manchester United.
Kenny Dalglish was runner-up for the coveted prize in 1983 for his efforts in a double-winning season at Liverpool.
Graeme Souness, Gordon Strachan, Jim Baxter, Jimmy Johnstone, Billy Bremner and Steve Archibald have all featured as Ballon d'Or nominees.
