Scotland lockdown: What time and where can you watch Nicola Sturgeon's speech today?

Nicola Sturgeon is to speak live today about the unfolding coronavirus crisis and she looks likely to set out some "tough decisions" which could see further lockdown restrictions brought in.

The First Minister and her cabinet have been vocal about how they have spent the weekend deliberating 'what further action may be needed' to control the virus from growing out of control again.

Scotland's Clinical Director Jason Leitch - who has been advising the Scottish Government on the pandemic - has suggested that while a 'full-blown second lockdown' may not be necessary, Scotland is likely to take action by introducing 'restrictions that seek to stop households from mixing.'

Health Secretary Jeane Freeman has also said that any decisions will be announced "very soon" and "early this week" suggesting that restrictions could be communicated today or tomorrow.

Here is how to watch:

Nicola Sturgeon's coronavirus briefing will not be shown on the main BBC One Scotland channel, however, you can watch it at 12.15 pm on the local BBC Scotland channel, which can be accessed on BBC Iplayer.

The briefing will also be broadcast live at 12:15 pm on the Scottish Government Twitter page and you can watch it even if you don't have an account.

We will be bringing you all the latest updates on the coronavirus crisis as they happen on our live blog.
