Scotland lockdown restrictions survey: Tell us how you feel about the new 'rule of six'

From today, the number of people who can meet up in Scotland has been reduced to six after new restrictions were brought into place.

Nicola Sturgeon announced the new rules as the number of coronavirus cases continues to soar.

The First Minister expressed her concern yesterday about the rise in cases and said the country must remain in phase 3 of lockdown until further notice over fears the outbreak is "accelerating".

The new changes mean that six people from two households will be allowed to meet up both indoors and outdoors - including in homes, gardens, pubs and restaurants.

Previously, people could meet in groups of up to eight from three households indoors and 15 from five households outdoors.

However, the new rules on social gatherings do not apply to children under the age of 12.

Nicola Sturgeon said there would be limited exceptions to the rules for organised sports, places of worship and wedding and funeral services - which will be capped at 20 guests.

The changes also mean it is mandatory for members of the public to wear a face covering in pubs and restaurants while moving around.

But do you think the rules have been made clear enough by the Scottish Government? Do you think that the restrictions came too late?

Glasgow Live is asking readers to share their thoughts on the restrictions on gatherings imposed on Scotland.
