The national team started their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-2 draw against Austria as John McGinn rescued a point with a superb overhead kick.

And now they face a familar foe in Israel who they came up against in the Nations League and their Euro 2020 playoff semi-final.

Clarke has made three changes from the draw against the Austrians as Ryan Christie, Lyndon Dykes and Stuart Armstrong drop to the bench.

Celtic star Callum McGregor, Ryan Fraser and Che Adams take their place in the side as the Southampton striker makes his first start for Scotland.

Clarke has opted for the same back five of Jack Hendry, Grant Hanley, Kieran Tierney with Andy Roberston and Stephen O'Donnell at full-back.

Scott McTominay, McGinn and McGregor occupy the midfield with a front two of Fraser and Adams.

Scotland XI vs Israel: Marshall, Hendry, Hanley, Tierney, O'Donnell. Robertson, McGinn, McTominay, McGregor, Fraser, Adams.

Bench: Gordon, McLaughlin, Dykes, Armstrong, Christie, Felck, Gallagher, McKenna, Nisbet, McBurnie, Considine, McLean.
