The Scottish Government has confirmed there have been 2,527 new Covid cases in the latest 24 hour period.
This brings the total number of Covid cases registered since the beginning of the pandemic to 709,399.
Sadly, 17 new deaths have been reported bringing the total number of deaths from the start of the pandemic to 9,495.
11,933 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 14 November
According to the latest figures for Scotland there were no new deaths recorded, although register offices are generally closed at weekends.
A total of 743 people were in hospital with the virus, and 60 patients were in intensive care units.
To date, 4,340,162 people have received their first vaccination with 3,940,314 having had a second jab.
This comes amid warnings that Covid travel test rules will be reviewed in January in what could be a shake up for the industry.
Aviation minister Robert Courts said that he wants to reduce all restrictive measures - not just testing - for the aviation business to "bounce back" from the pandemic.
All travellers regardless of vaccination status are required to pay for Covid testing when they enter the UK.
The minister refused to specify what travel restrictions would be relaxed, but the state of Covid across the world, particularly in Europe, does not look promising as cases soar.
