'Scotland get battered everywhere they go' Fury at England fans’ boozy behaviour ahead of Euro 2020 final

Rowdy England fans chanted 'Scotland get battered everywhere they go' in London today ahead of the Euro 2020 final - despite the national team being kicked out of the competition weeks ago.

Supporters have been gathering in their thousands in pubs and bars across the capital ahead of the anticipated clash with Italy at Wembley which kicks off at 8pm.

Scotland's dreams of advancing in the Euros were dashed two weeks ago when Steve Clarke's side were beaten by Croatia, leaving the Tartan Army heartbroken.

But England fans are still riling up the Auld Enemy ahead of tonight's match in a video that has emerged on social media.

In the clip, a sea of supporters gather outside the Hamilton Hall pub in London's Liverpool street waving England flags and chanting "Scotland get battered everywhere they go."

Footage shared online by The Arsenal Transmission Podcast also shows one fan standing on a beer garden table and holding a red flare.

It comes as Leicester Square emerged as a hub for punters as many were forced to scatter as glass was smashed and objects thrown by some in attendance.

The showpiece occasion is England 's first major final appearance since winning the World Cup in 1966.

Southgate's team triumphed over Denmark in the semi-final, outlasting their opponents in extra-time following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

Harry Kane turned home the winner as he netted the rebound from his own penalty after Kasper Schmeichel denied the England and Tottenham captain from the penalty spot.
