Dogs from across Ayrshire can ensure Scotland’s Euro 2020 opponents are given a “ruff” time by pinning their colours to their chests.
Pet accessory shop The Pooch Pantry in Troon have given man’s best friend the opportunity to join the Tartan Army by snapping up a Scotland strip.
And they believe people would be barking mad not to get behind their country as they face Auld Enemy England, the Czech Republic and Croatia.
Half-time snacks and toys are also being sold.
Shop owner Marion McLean and husband John, who helps run the business, decided to mark Scotland’s first qualification for a major tournament in 23 years with a novel venture.
And the retro-style strips, modelled by their dogs Nutmeg and Truffle, have already started to fly off the shelves.
They are complete with the Scotland badge.
Marion said: “When we found out these strips were available for dogs we ordered them and were quite excited that we would be supporting Scotland in Euro 2020.
“Now we have a window display with Scotland flags, dogs and half-time snacks which are hidden inside the toys.
"This keeps the dogs amused and lets the parents watch the football.
“The strips are going down well and are aimed at small to medium dogs.
“People have the opportunity to personalise them with a name and number at a small extra cost.
“A lot of the school children are excited that Scotland are in a competition like this and they might like to have their dog kitted out in a strip.
“Hopefully we can qualify for the knockout stages and we might even have to stock up with more strips.”
