A further six COVID-19 deaths have sadly been recorded, the Scottish Government has confirmed.
In the latest daily figures, announced this afternoon, a further 563 positive coronavirus cases have been reported across the country, representing 2.4% of all tests undertaken. 543 cases were recorded on Friday.
157 of the new cases were reported in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde region, with 100 in Lanarkshire.
283 people are in hospital with recently confirmed COVID-19, while 26 are in intensive care.
Meanwhile, the government advised 2,358,807 people have received their first dose of the covid-19 vaccine.
They advise:
- 563 new cases of COVID-19 reported
- 25,519 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results – 2.4% of these were positive
- 6 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive
- 26 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
- 283 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
- 2,358,807 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 294,714 have received their second dose
