Covid cases in Scotland have soared by more than 1,000 in the past 24 hours as the country continues to see a steady rise in the infection rate.
1,011 people tested positive for coronavirus since yesterday, making up 3% of all tests conducted.
Of these, 268 were in Greater Glasgow and Clyde while 117 were in Lanarkshire.
The latest Scottish Government figures also confirm that one new death was recorded in the past 24 hours.
121 people are currently in hospital being treated for Covid-19 while 14 people are receiving intensive care.

Yesterday, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed that no immediate changes to the current levels system restrictions would come into effect, with the situation remaining "fragile".

She announced cases had risen by 50% in the past week in Scotland, but added that a double dose of the vaccine was having a positive effect on the number of people suffering serious illness.
3,422,431 people have now received the first dose of the Covid vaccination while 2,313,695 have received their second dose.
Ms Sturgeon announced plans to vaccinate children over the age of 12 after the Pfizer vaccine was approved by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency for use among those aged 12 to 15.
The First Minister confirmed the government is now waiting for the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) to approve the advice for the age group before going ahead with vaccination plans.
