Scotland 36 Georgia 9 as Gregor Townsend's side win final World Cup warm up clash at packed Murrayfield

Scotland got the job done at a packed Murrayfield as they buried Georgia with a late surge.

Ali Price, Blair Kinghorn, Sam Johnson, Darcy Graham, George and Peter Horne notched in either half, with Tedo Abzhandadze scoring three penalties for the visitors in the opening period.

Gregor Towsend 's side defeated the Georgians 44-10 in Tblisi last week and this was their final World Cup warm-up clash in front of a huge 53,406 fans.

Price's opener arrived after 16 minutes following tidy combination between Kinghorn and Graham.

The latter offloaded to Duncan Taylor who then picked out Price to cross the line - although Adam Hastings then missed the conversion.

Abzhandadze reduced the deficit three minutes later from the penalty spot.

But Hastings was the architect for Scotland 's second try as he ghosted through the Georgian defence before finding Graham on the wing.

Graham this time picked out Kinghorn on the inside and he crossed the line to score, putting the hosts 10-3 up after 22 minutes.

Hastings again missed the conversion, however.

Another two Georgian penalties cut the deficit to one at the break.

Nine minutes into the second period Scotland struck again, Hastings setting up Johnson to cross and then finding the conversion at the third time of asking.

Graham crossed with 12 minutes to play to wrap up the result before the Horne brothers scored twice before the end.
