Ian Proctor, 53, has been appointed non-executive director of mining business Scotgold.
Proctor is a chartered accountant who is currently the chief executive officer of Sky Betting and Gaming and had previously held the position of chief financial officer. During this period, he played a key role in SBG's buy out from BSkyB, the preparation of the listing of the Company and its ultimate sale prior to listing.
Nat le Roux, chairman of Scotgold, said: “We are delighted Ian has accepted a position on our Board. His wealth of experience as a finance professional not only enhances the breadth of experience available to the board.''
Roux said that Ian Proctor, based in Stirling in Scotland and near to the company's Tyndrum operations, will bring benefits to the executive accounting function.
