Scot tells mum 'call me Lord Dylan' in hilarious viral video after buying £12.99 Groupon title

This is the hilarious moment where a Scots son breaks the news to his mum that he is set to become a lord.

Dylan Johnstone (sorry…Lord Dylan John Johnstone) was fresh from making a £12.99 Groupon buy of a decorative 'lord' title when decided to call her with the news.

In a Twitter video, he phones his his less than impressed mum, saying: "I am Lord Dylan John Johnstone and would like to be addressed as such.”

'Lord' Dylan bagged the title and a square foot plot of land on the ancient grounds of Dunans Castle on Argyll and Bute on the discount website.

Dylan Johnstone broke the great news to his mum over the phone with a cigarette in his hand (@_shannyleigh/Twitter)

Posting as @_shannyleigh, Lord Dylan explained to his mum: “It’s a castle somewhere up in the highlands where I bought it.

“I own a wee plot, I think it’s like a square foot or something - probably couldn’t even get my right foot in it, but I am Lord Dylan John Johnstone and would like to be addressed as such.”

His mum simply replied: “Shut up!”

Video of Lord Dylan’s conversation with his mum has since gone viral after nearly two and a half thousand people shared it on Twitter.

The decorative lord titles have been extremely popular with more than 5,000 people taking up the opportunity to add prestige to their name.

Sales from the decorative title, which is being sold by Scottish Laird, will go towards the restoration of Dunans Castle, Bridge and Grounds.

The company is aiming to turn Dunans Castle from a ruin into a visitor attraction, as well as a wedding and conference venue.
