Scot orders pineapple and banana pizza from takeaway and customers are outraged

One Scots takeaway has taken the 'does pineapple belong on pizza' debate to the next level by adding in a banana topping to the mix.

The House of Shah, based in Hamilton, took to their Facebook to reveal one customer's unusual request.

The customer had called up to ask just for a tomato pizza base with pineapple and banana topping and finished with cheese.

The owners, Cal Shah and Jahan Shah, decided to post the bizarre concoction on to social media and ask for their customers opinions.

They wrote: "Customer asked for a banana + pineapple pizza. Thoughts? Aye or Naw?"

And there was total outrage in the comments as many disagreed with the fruity pizza combo.

One said: "This person needs to take themselves straight to Motherwell police office and hand them selfs in for this ridiculous behaviour."

While another wrote: "That’s out of order if I’m honest."

And one added: "Pineapple is bad enough but banana come on!"

And another penned: "Both honking and don't belong on pizza at all."

But some people were open to trying new things.

One wrote: "I'd eat anything once."

While another said: "I’ve a family member who has fried banana on a full English brekkie it’s actually nice."

Another commented: "No for me. But each to their own."

The House of Shah, based in Quarry Street, are famously known for their bizarre dishes such as Buckfast Korma and Irn Bru pakora.

Over the years the Hamilton takeaway has been producing some strange and wonderful food creations which has seen them win top awards at glittering ceremonies, including the Best Takeaway in Scotland Award at the British Takeaway Awards 2018.
