Scot Lawrence Chaney says there is 'no money' in being drag queen in Scotland as she wins Drag Race UK task

Lawrence Chaney was jubilant after winning the latest challenge on Drag Race UK and pointed out how little money Scottish drag queens are paid.

During the show, which saw Glasgow born Lawrence team up with fellow Scot Ellie Diamond, Rupaul asked her about the Scottish drag scene .

Lawrence said: "It's a whole different ballgame because in Scotland there is no money. The normal rate of payment is fifteen pounds for a drag spot."

Asked if she had a side hustle, she replied: "I'm not quite sucking willies yet."

After saying she was going for a Marie Antoinette look, Ellie replied that her side job was working in a drive through.

Ahead of their sewing challenge Lawrence said: "I have made so many costumes over the years. My mum taught me to sew at the age of ten. I've got an idea of what I want to do. "

Ellie added: "The thought of beating Lawrence on a sewing challenge would kill her on the inside."

After emerging on stage in their gold outfits, Ellie who compared herself to Marie Antoinette once again laughed: 'I'm living this fantasy. I just hope I don't get the chop."

Ellie Diamond got favourable comments from the judges including Michelle Visage who called her 'pirate wench' outfit quite spectacular and Graeme Norton who called it 'beautiful'.
