Scot found dead at home 'suffered multiple stab wounds'

A woman found dead in her home suffered multiple stab wounds, a trial heard.

The High Court in Edinburgh was told several of the injuries inflicted on Margaret Robertson could have caused her death.

Pathologist Dr David Sadler said: “There were three or four of the stab wounds that could have been fatal in themselves.”

Margaret, 54, was found dead at her flat in Promenade Court, Aberdeen, with injuries including neck wounds.

Norman Duncan, 42, denies assaulting and murdering her at her home on September 25, 2019.

Forensic expert Dr Carolyn Rennie, 41, who examined Duncan on October 2, 2019, said she had noted healing wounds on his hands.

The trial continues.
