A man has escaped relatively unscathed after riding his scooter into a massive sinkhole that opened up in a street in China.
The rider crashed into a sinkhole shortly after it appeared on a street in Beihai city, China.
In footage released by state broadcaster CCTV, the man appeared to be looking at his phone shortly before crashing into the hole.
The man was not seriously hurt, according to CCTV.
