Scooter Braun Has Been Dragged Into The Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Legal Battle

If you thought that Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni‘s legal saga was over after the judge threw out Baldoni’s case, you thought wrong. Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit is still going ahead — and that means her legal team is currently working to compile a case against the It Ends With Us director. The latest addition to their evidence? Infamous music mogul and former talent manager, Scooter Braun.

According to Page Six, Lively’s legal team is soon to send out a subpoena to the HYPE America CEO.

Reportedly, Lively’s camp is trying to find out as much info as they can about Baldoni’s PR crisis manager Melissa Nathan, who he hired in August 2024.

Lively’s lawsuit lists Nathan as a co-defendant, with the Gossip Girl alum alleging Nathan and Baldoni orchestrated a smear campaign against her. If Lively’s legal team do file a subpoena to Braun, it’s likely they believe documents held by the business man or his company contain useful information about Nathan.

Nathan is a crisis management specialist with a long list of Hollywood clients, including Johnny Depp, Drake and Logan Paul.

“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively told the New York Times in 2024.

Nathan has yet to make a comment about the allegations against her, while Baldoni has denied any wrongdoing.

The news of Braun’s potential subpoena comes a day after Judge Lewis Liman dismissed Baldoni’s $400 million USD ($613 million AUD approx) countersuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds, citing that Baldoni can’t actually sue the A Simple Favour star over claims made in her lawsuit as it is legally protected.

He also threw out Baldoni’s $250 million USD ($383 million AUD approx) defamation case against The New York Times thanks to “fair report” privilege.

However, the judge did claim that Baldoni and his legal team may refile the countersuit if they wish to pursue claims that Lively breached her contract.

Lively’s case against Baldoni is set to be heard in court on March 9, 2026.
