SCOLE-Kerala (State Council for Open and Lifelong Education- Kerala) has brought out Malayalam translations of its self-learning modules in English.
The modules that enable self-study are based on higher secondary textbooks. SCOLE-Kerala has now brought out Malayalam translation of the self-learning modules for Plus One higher secondary History, Economics, Political Science, and Sociology following innumerable enquiries by students, says SCOLE-Kerala vice chairman P. Pramod.
The new modules will not only be beneficial to SCOLE-Kerala learners but also other higher secondary students, including regular students, as the translations have been done without compromising on the textbook content and ensuring its scientific aspects.
Charts, graphs, and tables have been included to make lesson comprehension easier. Information is focussed on each learning outcome and important questions related to each lesson with an eye to the higher secondary examinations. Continuous evaluation and self-assessment too have been included.
The textbooks in these four subjects for first and second year higher secondary will be available in four self-learning modules. While the modules for Plus One are available ahead of their upcoming examinations in June, those for Plus Two will be available in the next academic year.
Sale of the Malayalam self-learning modules will begin at SCOLE-Kerala’s State and district centres next week. Price and other details will be available from SCOLE-Kerala’s website.
Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty who is also the chairman of SCOLE-Kerala, released the modules by handing them over to General Education Principal Secretary A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish. Director of General Education Jeevan Babu K., Mr. Pramod, and academic associate Latha P. were present.
