Scissor Sister killer Charlotte Mulhall 'shell of her former self' after prison move

Scissor Sister killer Charlotte Mulhall is a “shell of her former self” .

The murderer was moved to Limerick Prison from Dublin’s Dochas Centre in December 2018 over claims of a lesbian fling with a prison officer.

She has denied the claims as has the female prison officer who was allegedly involved.

This week, Mulhall was granted permission to bring a challenge aimed at securing a transfer back to Mountjoy women’s prison on the grounds the transfer had adversely impacted visits received from family members.

The matter has now been put back until May by Justice Anthony Barr.

He said at a minimum she should be provided with visiting arrangements that were previously in place so close family could visit her. A source told the Irish Sunday Mirror Mulhall used to be heavily involved with prison life at the Dochas but since being moved she is miserable.

The source said: “Charlotte used to be heavily involved in the beauty salon at the Dochas Centre, she loved being sociable.

“Despite Covid restrictions being in place and a lot of things no longer being allowed, she appears to be a shell of her former self.”
