Scientists recreate face of Medieval Scottish man - and he looks very familiar

Scientists have recreated the face of a Medieval Scottish man, and he looks very familiar.

The remains of the man, known as skeleton 125, were found in Aberdeen alongside 59 other full skeletons.

Tests by researchers from the AOC Archaology Group indicate that the man was 46 years old when he died, and suffered from extensive dental disease.

Speaking to BBC News , Dr Paula Millburn, who led the excavation, said: “The ongoing post-excavation work is examining the remains in detail and will provide us with amazing information on the kind of people buried here, including their ages, gender, health and lifestyles.”

While this particular man lived around 600 years ago, eagle eyed Twitter users have spotted a similarity between his reconstruction and Dominic Cummings .

One user wrote: “Did those doing the reconstruction of this medieval man’s face from Aberdeen have Dominic Cummings on their mind?”

And one joked: “When Dominic Cummings takes his teeth out to suck a lemon.”

Meanwhile, others have drawn comparisons to several other famous faces, including Wayne Rooney, Bilbo Baggins and even Downton Abbey’s Lord Grantham.
