Scots have the chance to watch a live post mortem as part of a new groundbreaking event.
Students and members of the public are being invited to The Post Mortem Live this autumn.
The world's first semi-synthetic human cadaver will be used to help teach audiences all things anatomy, physiology and pathology.
Punters can take part in an 'immersive and interactive post mortem' where the body will be examined to identify the cause of death.
External examination, and dissection of the head, neck and abdominal area are just some of the topics covered.
Award winning human anatomist Samuel Piri and his clinical team are leading the events that are coming to the University of Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian University, Strathclyde University, University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Napier University this October.
A representative from The Post Mortem Live said: "The Post Mortem Live invites you to step into the shoes of a pathologist as we take you inside the process of the post mortem.
"Working with nationally acclaimed human anatomist Samuel Piri and his wider clinical team, you will learn and develop an understanding of complex undergraduate human anatomy and its associated pathologies.
"Samuel developed VIVIT -the world’s only semi-synthetic human cadaver to train students anatomy in a contextualised format.
"We operate the only license in the UK permitting the use of real tissues in the teaching and training of human anatomy.
The Post Mortem Live heads to the Glasgow venues on October 17 and Edinburgh on October 24.
