Science weekly podcast: the solar revolution and bison in Romania

This week on Science Weekly with Ian Sample, we meet solar physicist Prof Keith Barnham to discuss his new book The Burning Answer: A User's Guide to the Solar Revolution. Barnham also discusses his cutting edge work at Imperial College London and the advances he and his team have made in creating a quantum well solar cell. The author will be speaking at Hay Literary Festival on Tuesday 27 May 2014, 11.30am.

Ian Sample is joined by Nicola Davis, commissioning editor of the Observer Tech Monthly and the Guardian's environment site editor Adam Vaughan to discuss some of this week's science news including Romania's rewilding project's release of bison in the Carpathian mountains, controversy in the bio-medical research community over the creation of mutant viruses and the significance of an ancient bone carving called the Madeleine mammoth.
