Sa'ad is the founding chief executive of the New Engineering Foundation (NEF) which has supported over 150 FE colleges through the UK with grants for professional development and knowledge and technology transfer activities.
He is also a visiting professor to Bournemouth University, a governor at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College and a patron at Walsall College. He is a member of the Parliamentary and Science Committee and sits on the Business and Community Advisory Board of the Joint Academic Information Systems Committee.
