Keep in mind that ex-display items can’t be returned in store. If you have any issues, there is an option to return by post.
Recycle your old shoes
Sustainability is a key value for schuh, and its ’selling your soles’ initiative gives customers £5 off a new pair of shoes when recycling an old pair, even if they were purchased elsewhere.

schuh FAQs
About schuh
Founded in 1981 in Edinburgh, the shop was originally going to be named “lizard shoes”. Then, founder Sandy was inspired by a German fashion footwear magazine and changed the name to schuh (German for “shoe”). Whilst many have mistaken the retailer as German, it didn’t open its first store in the country until 2015.
Fast forward to now, it has 132 stores in the UK and Ireland and sells more than 80 brands of shoes, including New Balance, Dr Martens, Uggs and Birkenstocks. schuh also has its own label that leans into trends with everything from ballet flats and loafers, to biker boots. No matter the occasion or your style, schuh has it.
