Parents are being warned about children displaying 'wider symptoms' of Covid.
With the virus still causing huge disruption in schools across the region, those testing positive have reported different symptoms to ones most commonly known.
While we have always been told to be on the lookout for a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste, others have reported having other symptoms 'before the big three'.
On Tuesday schools in Manchester were told of the 'wider symptoms' by the authority's consultant in public health.

Manchester City Council is now urging anyone - not just those attending or working in schools - to get a PCR test if they have any of the symptoms listed here:
- Diarrhoea
- A persistent head ache
- Fever and chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea & vomiting
A spokesperson for the council said: "Public Health are receiving evidence that some people are experiencing wider symptoms before the big three - so if people are experiencing the wider symptoms, there is a chance to limit spread instead of waiting for the main symptoms to become obvious.
We reported yesterday how more than 200 schools have been hit by positive Covid cases since May half term.
There is growing anger over the amount of classroom time being lost by pupils in Greater Manchester and calls for 'ridiculous' isolation rules to be scrapped before the summer term becomes 'a write off'.
