Schoolgirl sex attack in Glasgow park claim sparks police investigation

Police have launched an investigation after it's claimed a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a Glasgow park.

The schoolgirl is alleged to have been attack on Friday night in Dawsholm Park, in Maryhill area of the city.

A police spokesman confirmed: “Around 9.30pm on Friday, 19 June, we received reports of a sexual assault against a 14-year-old girl in the Dawsholm Park area of Glasgow.

“A 15-year-old boy has been arrested, officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
