A schoolgirl was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Paisley today.
Emergency services raced to the scene after the accident happened on Glenburn Road at around 2.40pm on Thursday, July 22.
Ambulance crews attended and the 11-year-old girl was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment.
Her injuries have been described as serious, but not life-threatening.
The road was closed while officers carried out enquiries at the scene.
It re-opened at around 5.30pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a crash between a car and a child on Glenburn Road, Paisley, around 2.40pm on Thursday, 22 July.
"An 11-year-old girl was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
"The road was temporarily closed whilst officers carried out enquiries and re-opened around 5.30pm."
