A pair of school girls turned nasty bullies when they launched an attack on another teen girl in a brutal assault on a Dublin Bus.
The 16-year-old girl victim had her finger "bitten" by one of the attackers before being "dragged around the bus by her hair" - all while the second attacker caught the humiliating moment for the girl on camera.
The teen was left with serious injuries from the northside attack on the double decker and had to be brought to Mater Hospital following the assault.
Her aunt told Dublin Live that other people witnessed the attack and has urged them to come forward to help with the investigation.
She said: "My sister's daughter was on the bus on Thursday night, 12 November from Clarehall at around 11pm when she was attacked by two girls.
"One bit her finger while the other was recording it. Then as if that wasn't enough, she was dragged around by her hair before they were pulled apart.
"She was in such a state after the attack that she had to go to the Mater."
The family member added that the girl was immediately brought to Coolock Garda Station to give a statement after she received treatment.
She continued: "There was a security man on the bus at the time who saw it happen and intervened.
"My sister had to end up bringing him to work because he missed his next bus because of the commotion.
"She also reported the attack to the girls' school the following morning as they were still in uniform."
A Garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault which occurred on the Malahide Road, Dublin 17 on the 12 November at approximately 9:15pm."
She added: "No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing and no further information available."
Dublin Bus has been contacted for a comment.
