A schoolgirl was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a Scots road this afternoon.
Emergency services raced to Hareleeshill Road in Larkhall after the horror accident happened at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, June 9.
Ambulance crews attended and the nine-year-old casualty was taken to hospital for treatment.
Her condition is not yet known.
The road was closed for a short time while police and medics dealt with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Hareleeshill Road, Larkhall around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 9 June, following a crash involving a 9-year-old pedestrian.
"She has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
"The road was closed for a short time and has since reopened.”
